Okay, so you might be wondering what the heck this site is all about.  Well here's a little bit about JmanX.com and hopefully a few answers to your questions.

This is a personal website that is run, created, maintained, and updated by me, JmanX.  I started this site around mid 1999 (man, doesn't seem that long, but that's at least 7 years ago).  I started it cause I wanted to put up a site of stuff I enjoyed, along with pictures of what's going on in my life.

If you want to know more about me, JmanX, then head over to my personal site at www.JmanX.net.  That's where I post my personal pictures and have my own little blog-like updates and some other stuff.

You'll find hundreds of Funny and Random pictures here on the site.  You'll also be able to have fun playing tons of free online Games, or kick back and laugh along with the flash animation Movies.  If you feel like listening to some sound clips from your favorite actors, be sure to check out the cool Soundboards, or if you want some cool free and legal songs to groove to, check out the Mp3s section.  Wanna read some hilarious jokes or get a dose of Yo' Momma jokes?  Be sure to check out the HUGE Jokes section and get your laugh on.  There's plenty more to see and there's always new stuff being added.

Since it's inception, my site has bounced around on innumerable servers and hosts, trying to find one that would hold and allow me to serve up my site and it's files the way I wanted them to be shown.  I'm now on a stable server, have the resources I need, and hopefully the days of bouncing from server to server are a distant memory.

My vision for JmanX.com was like I said earlier, a place where I could post cool stuff I found from around the internet, on a site that wasn't like the rest of them out there.  Here's why:

1. No Ads: you won't find any ads, pop-ups or any of those on this site.  Too many other websites out there are nothing but advertisements.  I hate sites like that, so I don't have any on my site.  Any links to other sites, or banners you see are personal recommendations to sites that are actually friends of mine, or sites I enjoy and think you'd like to. 
2. No Adult Content: This site does not contain any adult content.  Everything is rated from G to PG13.  That means that there isn't any nudity or sex, the foul language is kept to an absolute minimum (I try to avoid it all-together), there aren't any videos of extreme violence and gore (there is animated stuff, but no real people getting hurt).  This site is aimed to be safe & friendly to the entire family.
3.  Totally Free:  This site is completely free.  You don't have to pay for anything, you don't even have to register!  JmanX.com is paid for completely by me, out of my own pocket, so I make sure that you don't have to worry about seeing ads like most sites make you see to pay their bills, or paying to play like some others do.  Feel free to enjoy as much as you want, whenever you want.

As time has passed, I've since moved the personal section of the site (my personal pictures, information about me, and other personal stuff) to JmanX.net.  If you want to know more about me, that's the place to look.  I did this to help keep JmanX.com focused on just providing the best entertainment around.

F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions)

1. What the heck is a "JmanX"?
JmanX is the internet nickname I've used since I first got online back in the early days of the internet.  It was inspired by one of my favorite old video game series, "Mega Man X".  I basically just replaced "Mega" with "J" (my real name is Julian) and pushed it all together to get "JmanX".

2. What's with the crazy head at the top of the site?
That is a cartoon rendering of a member of a forum I participate at that was done by another member.  He's a pretty crazy and funny dude to talk to, and the picture is a spitting image of him.  They both gave me permission to use it on my site, so now he's there, making comments about the site.

3. C'mon, every site has ads, you have to have some too right?
Nope, I really don't have any ads on the site.  I hate them to be honest.  I don't like visiting sites that are covered in ads, have pop-ups or whole page advertisements you have to sit through just to get to the game you want to see.  So this site is my response to all them.  I won't be putting any on the site, so enjoy without worry about being bombarded with ads.

4. Why should I Register?
You don't have to register for anything to be able to play the games and view the pictures and other stuff on the site.  But if you choose to do so, you'll be able to leave comments on all the different things on the site.  Post your high scores, talk about your favorite picture or movie.  Also if you do you can keep track of what items you've already seen and rated, you can highlight your favorites and do a bunch of other cool things.

5. How many people are running JmanX.com?
Just one.  I've run this site since day 1 by myself.  I do all the maintenance and updating and adding new stuff.  Although along the way I've had a lot of help from my friend Kevin, who contributed hundreds of jokes to the site, and recently helped me get all my content setup on the new system (a tough job I'm really grateful for).  If you get a chance, check out his site too: LikeOMGWow.com.

6. How do I submit something to JmanX.com?
If you have something you want to see put up on JmanX.com, whether it be as simple as a joke or Yo' Momma diss, or a funny picture, or even your own game or flash movie, you can send it by emailing me at TheMan@JmanX.com.  Check out the Contact page for more options if you don't want to email it or want to talk to me directly.  Remember, all the stuff that goes on this site has to be clean, that means no adult stuff, and keep the language as clean as possible.  Oh yeah, don't forget to include your name (if you want it mentioned) and if you have a website where people can see more of your stuff so I can give you credit!

7.  How often do you update?
I try to update the site every Monday morning.  Although I may add stuff during the week without an "official" update, so don't be surprised if new stuff shows up in the middle of the week!

8. I have a website too, can you link my site?
If you have a website that you think the people who visit here will like, then feel free to email me at TheMan@JmanX.com and I'll give it a look.  Remember, I won't link your site if you have any adult content or adult ads.  If your site isn't completely safe for work and families, then I probably won't add your link.  It's nothing personal, but I refuse to link to those sites.

9. Hey, you have something of mine on here and I didn't give permission!
If you do see something of yours on here, and you didn't give permission for it to be shown up, check out the Copyright & Privacy policies page or the Contact page for more information on how to contact me to take care of it.

10.  Why can't I post in the shoutbox (or why has my post been edited)?
I try to maintain a family-friendly environment on the site, so I will not allow bad language to be used on the shoutbox.  If your post contains any bad words it will be automatically edited to remove it.  For the people that continue to abuse the shoutbox, either by insulting other visitors, using bad language, or by trying to pretend they are me, those people will be permanently banned from using the shoutbox again.  If you've been banned, or have problems posting, you can always Contact me to ask what happened or to ask to be unbanned.
